Airbus A320 operated by Germanwings crashes in French Alps

An Airbus A320, plane operated by Germanwings, crashed Tuesday in southeastern France near Digne les Bains.

The plane (with 142 passengers and six crew members) was headed from Barcelona, Spain, to Dusseldorf, Germany.
